who formed the support team for his 26 mile charity wheelchair push.

W.Bro David McConnell, Victory Masonic Lodge 689 Omagh, and members of his family completed a sponsored wheelchair push from the Tyrone County Hospital, Omagh, to the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, on Saturday, 17th June - a distance of approximately 26 miles. They were accompanied by brethren from Lodge 689, Omagh and Lodges 246, Broughshane and 194 Bucknaw in the Province of Antrim. Support vehicles and sponsorship were also provided by local masonic lodges. The walk was held in good weather with brilliant sunshine for most of the day.

David's brother, Oliver, sustained major life-changing injuries in a farm accident in November 2010. The Spinal Injuries Unit continues to play a major role in his recovery with expert medical and nursing care.

W.Bro McConnell would like to express his thanks to all those who helped on the day and raised sponsorship for the event. A BBQ followed in the Masonic Hall, Omagh. The event raised a total of £6,882.29 for the Spinal Injuries Unit in Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast.
